
Stephen Aiken is Director of Supply Chain at LENZ Therapeutics where he brings over twenty years of global experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management. From production planning and scheduling, to material management and strategic sourcing, he has experience in ensuring efficient and effective flow of product to customers. Stephen has a proven track record in implementing global category strategies, using procurement tools and techniques, and advanced negotiation to successfully deliver commercial benefits.
Prior to joining LENZ, Stephen was Director of Supply Chain Management at Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services where he led and managed a sizeable group of supply chain management functions. Prior to Ajinomoto, he was Global Category Manager at Alere Inc. (now Abbott Healthcare), managing $60 million spend across packaging categories and across multiple global manufacturing locations. Prior to Abbott, he was Supply Chain Manger at CYMER/ASML where he managed $50 million global spend across OEM, Fabrication, and contract manufacturing.
He has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, a Masters of Science in Computer Sciences from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts from the Queen’s University of Belfast, N.Ireland. He also has several professional qualifications in Supply Chain Management (MCIPS, CPIM and CPSM) as well as Project Management (CAPM) and a Diploma in Packaging Technology.
